Join the Birthday Club!
Calling all kids! Do you love animals?
Come on and join the Birthday Club!!!!
If you love animals you might want to help our cats and dogs awaiting adoption at the Center by having presents given to them for YOUR birthday! WHY? - because they need help, and it is a wonderful thing to do!
How does the Birthday Club work?
You become a member of the Birthday Club when you have your friends give presents to our animals instead of you! Our cats and dogs always need collars, treats, leashes, balls, toys, beds, or donations...and they LOVE to get lots of hugs and kisses from you, too!
The Animal Adoption Center will be proud to put your picture on our web site as a giving person that loves and helps homeless animals.
If you call the Adoption Center a week in advance our mascot Amos will attend your party and bring balloons and hugs and kisses to all kids that help homeless animals! You can even have a group of friends come celebrate at the Center with you!
For more info on the Birthday Club, have your
mom or dad call us at the Center at 739-1881.
Honora Verdun
Meet our first ever two-time Birthday Club member...Honora Verdun!!
For her birthday this year, Honora thought it would be a great idea to help others for her big day...again! What a girl!
So, she had everyone donate to us instead of having them give gifts for herself...and in two years raised hundreds of dollars for the animals awaiting adoption!!! WAY TO GO HONORA!!
Although she has her very own dog adopted from the AAC at home, Honora came to visit us all at the AAC and share her love with all the orphans awaiting homes. She is photographed here with Simon the super pug!
It takes a very special kid to want to celebrate their birthday by helping homeless animals...two years in a row!
The animal orphans are VERY proud to count such a generous and thoughtful kid as one of their friends! Thank you Honora, and happy birthday twice over from all of us at the AAC!
Hannah Turtle
For her birthday this year, Hannah Turtle decided she wanted to help homeless animals. So she had everyone donate to us instead of having gifts for herself!
To celebrate, Hannah had a party at Pizza Hut, and the Animal Adoption Center mascot Shamus came to deliver birthday wishes! He was a smashing success, and even saved a dance for the birthday girl herself.
Hannah and her friend then came to present her gifts to the Adoption Center orphans. They visited Elona's Dog Lounge as well as Kitty City, and are pictured here in the courtyard with Foxy, a very special Jack Russell Terrier.
Thank you Hannah for your generosity and thoughtfulness...it takes a very special kid to want to celebrate their birthday by helping homeless animals. The animal orphans are so glad you chose to help them... and wish you a very happy birthday and a wonderful year!!
Emily Jennings
Meet our first Birthday Club member for April 2007...Emily Jennings!!
For her 9th birthday this April, Emily had everyone donate to us instead of having gifts for herself...and raised a whopping $160 for the animals awaiting adoption!!! WOW!!
Thank you Emily for your generosity and thoughtfulness...it takes a very special kid to want to celebrate their birthday by helping homeless animals
The animal orphans are indebted to you and are so glad you chose to help them... and are VERY proud to count you as one of their friends!
Emily came to visit us all at the AAC, and is photographed here with Simon and Ella, two pug puppies who are doing their best to show her how thankful they are.
Thank you again, Emily, and a very happy birthday wish from all of us at the Animal Adoption Center!!
Abby Brazil
Super animal-lover Abby Brazil turned 8 this July, and wanted to do something special for the animals on her big day. So, she had all her friends bring presents for the orphans, instead of for her...
Abby then brought all the great gifts to the AAC to share with the animals awaiting adoption. She must be a very popular girl, because there were presents and more presents for the dogs and cats!
Abby is pictured here with some of the fabulous, useful, and yummy gifts...and is getting some puppy love from AAC cutie pie Monkey, too!
Thank you Abby for your generosity and thoughtfulness...it takes a very special kid to want to celebrate their birthday by helping homeless animals. The animal orphans are so glad you chose to help them... and wish you a very happy birthday and a wonderful year!
Lily Brazil
Generosity must run in the family...or perhaps, great minds think alike?
A month after her sister Abby shared her 8th birthday with the orphans, Lily Brazil turned 6. She loves animals, too...and she also decided to do something special for the animals on her big day. So, instead of getting presents for herself, she had all her friends bring presents for the animals at the AAC...
Lily then brought all the great gifts to the AAC to share with the animals awaiting adoption. There were oodles of toys and and yummy treats, and all the animals were very excited!
Thank you Lily for your generosity and thoughtfulness...it takes a very special kid to want to celebrate their birthday by helping homeless animals. The animal orphans are so glad you chose to help them... and wish you a very happy birthday and a wonderful year!
Lily is photographed here with all of the super presents she brought...and also with Charger, who happens to be out pending adoption with the Brazil family. Looks like you got a pretty exciting present for you after all, Lily! And congratulations to Charger, too! May you have many happy years with this animal loving and generous family...you deserve it!
